PRICE INCREASE

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing increase in energy prices, we have had to increase the prices for the pool. We are doing all we can to keep our costs low for all our customers from October 2022.

 

SAUNA CLOSURE

Since March 2022, we have closed our sauna. Due to changes in our circumstances, the sauna will be closed until further notice.

ADULT ONLY WEEKDAYS

Since September 2021, we are now adult on on weekdays (Monday to Friday) and open for families with children at weekends.

ROADMAP OUT OF LOCKDOWN

Following the Government publishing its ‘Covid19 Spring Response’ roadmap it looks like we will be

open to reopen the pool from Monday 12 April. Indoor leisure will be open again as part of ‘Step 2’. We will be making further announcements here and on our Facebook/Instagram as soon as know more, and have a confirmed date for reopening

THIRD NATIONAL LOCKDOWN

On January 5 2021 the Government announced a second National Lockdown from 5 January until at least February half-term. Sadly, we will be closed during this period. We will stay updated with the latest advice from the Government and Swim England and hope to open again as soon as possible. We have contacted everyone with bookings during the lockdown, but if you have a booking, get in touch to rearrange.

TIER 4 RESTRICTIONS

On Wednesday 23 December, the Government announced that Tier 4 restrictions (including the closure of indoor leisure) will be implemented in Norfolk from Boxing Day (26 December). This means that we are currently closed until the lifting of these restrictions. 

 

We will stay updated with the latest advice from the Government and Swim England and hope to open again as soon as possible. We have contacted everyone with bookings during the lockdown, but if you have a booking, get in touch to rearrange.

END OF SECOND NATIONAL LOCKDOWN & TIERS

Following the Government announcement on November 23, the latest guidance states that in all of the new tiers (1, 2 & 3), indoor leisure (including swimming pools) can remain open. We will re-open on 3 December.

 

We will be following all the advice to stay Covid secure and following all national and local measures. We will update here as more guidance is announced. Please note that our sauna will be staying closed for the time being.

SECOND NATIONAL LOCKDOWN

On October 31 2020 the Government announced a second National Lockdown from 5 November to 2 December. Sadly, as a leisure facility, we will be closed during this period. We will stay updated with the latest advice from the Government and Swim England and hope to open again as soon as possible. We have contacted everyone with bookings during the lockdown, but if you have a booking, get in touch to rearrange.

LOCAL COVID ALERT LEVEL: MEDIUM

On October 12 2020 the Government announced a new tier system for localised restrictions. Wood Lane Pool and Sauna is currently in a 'medium' area. You can find out more about the tiers by clicking here. We will be changing our Covid measures as/when the tiers change.

NHS TEST AND TRACE

From September 24 2020 the NHS Test and Trace app will be going live. We will be displaying a QR code in the pool house. Please download the NHS Test and Trace app and then scan the QR code to log in at Wood Lane Pool and Sauna. You can download the app here. 

 

If you are unable to scan the QR code, please note that we will be abiding by the latest legal advice and will be giving the data you provide when booking to the NHS as and when required.

RULE OF 6 

From September 14 2020, we will be following the 'rule of 6' and only accepting bookings for 6 or less people for the foreseeable future.

OUR SAUNA IS CLOSED

Please note that inline with current Covid-19 regulations, we are keeping our sauna closed for the time being. We hope to have it back open soon.

SOCIAL DISTANCING 

We are asking all swimmers to arrive and leave promptly and on time. This helps us maintain social distancing and keep you safe.

​

FLOATS AND INFLATABLES

If you are bringing floats and inflatables with you (you are allowed!) but please give these a quick rinse under the shower before they enter the pool water.

ENHANCED CLEANING REGIME

We always keep Wood Lane Pool and Sauna clean and tidy, but we have introduced an enhanced cleaning regime - including extra chlorine and water backwashes. 

​

CLEANING PRODUCTS

We have numerous hand gels, wipes and sprays available in the pool house. Please wipe down any surfaces you touch and use hand gel on arrival and exit.
